Donate blood and have a chance at winning a Harley motorcycle as Barnett Harley Davidson and Vitalant join forces once again for the 26th semi-annual blood drive.

Help save a life by donating blood and have a chance at winning a Barnett Harley Davidson during the annual blood drive coming up January 18th through January 21, 2019.

Vitalant (formerly United Blood Services) will be set up all four days at both Barnett Harley Davidson locations in El Paso and Las Cruces from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every donor will receive a goody bag filled with coupons from Chick-fil-A and Whataburger, t-shirts, including raffle prizes from National Furniture Liquidators, plus a chance at winning a Harley Motorcycle all thanks to Barnett Harley Davidson.

Free food will be provided for blood donors courtesy of Domino’s Pizza throughout the four days of the event. On Saturday, January 20th, Rudy’s will be serving food to donors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. while every morning, Southern Maid Donuts, Starbucks and Sarah Farms will provide coffee and orange juice to donors.

Blood donations are always in need and every donation helps, according to Vitalant, it is recommended to donate blood at least three times a year. At this time Vitalant is looking for type O blood donors since there is a greater demand for O+ and O- donors as the flu and other illnesses take a toll on the local blood supply. Vitalant is struggling to maintain strong inventory levels especially when O blood type can be used when a patient’s blood type is unknown in emergency situations.
